Installation, Handling and Maintenance Notes

• Confirm capacitance and rated voltage against the motor nameplate before fitting; never substitute a lower voltage rating for a higher one.
• On insert models, seat the terminals fully and tighten the screw connection to the torque stated for that terminal rather than to a feel.
• On lead models, route leads clear of hot discharge lines and sheet-metal edges; the S3 sheath-line version adds chafe protection.
• Discharge before any handling: bleed through a resistor and verify below 1 V DC on a digital multimeter before touching the terminals.
• Mount in the supplied clamp, plate or ferrule position. The aluminum can surface dissipates heat, so keep it in the airflow path used by the original assembly.
• Fault investigation usually starts at the element, the terminal block and the mounting hardware; we supply replacement capacitors in the same configuration and can support a sample-based comparison if a build is failing early.
